UAE e-invoicing questions, answered

Plain answers on deadlines, ASPs and what changes for your business. If yours is not here, ask us on the call.

What is e-invoicing in the UAE?

E-invoicing means sending invoices as structured data instead of PDFs or paper. In the UAE, B2B and B2G invoices must be issued in the PINT AE format and exchanged through a Ministry of Finance accredited service provider (ASP).

Who must comply?

Every business that sends B2B or B2G invoices in the UAE. Both the business sending the invoice and the business receiving it need an ASP. Sales to consumers (B2C) are outside the system for now.

Does e-invoicing apply to my industry?

Yes, if you send or receive B2B or B2G invoices in the UAE. The rules are the same in every industry. Sales to consumers (B2C) are outside the system for now.

What are the deadlines?

Businesses with revenue below AED 50 million must appoint an ASP by 31 March 2027 and go live on 1 July 2027. Businesses at AED 50 million or more went live on 1 January 2027. Government entities must appoint an ASP by 31 March 2027 and go live on 1 October 2027. The penalty for not appointing an ASP or implementing on time is AED 5,000 per month (Cabinet Decision 106 of 2025).

What is an ASP?

An Accredited Service Provider is a company accredited by the Ministry of Finance to exchange e-invoices. In the five-corner model your ASP is Corner 2 and your buyer's ASP is Corner 3. Tax data goes to the FTA at Corner 5.

Do I need an ASP if I only receive invoices?

Yes. Both sending and receiving businesses need an ASP.

Is B2C included?

Not for now. Sales to consumers are outside the system at the moment. B2B and B2G invoices are in scope.

What does CornerOne do, and what does the ASP do?

The ASP exchanges your e-invoices on the network. CornerOne gets your business ready to use it: we check and clean your invoice data, map it to PINT AE, connect your system to the ASP you choose, test and support you through go-live. CornerOne is not an ASP. We work with MoF-accredited ASPs. You choose the provider.

Do you lock me into one ASP?

No. We are not tied to one ASP. We integrate with several accredited providers and recommend the fit for your volume and budget. The choice is yours.

How long does it take?

It depends on your system and the state of your invoice data. After the readiness call we send you a timeline for your business.

How much does it cost?

We quote after the call, once we understand your system and volume. Pricing is a fixed setup fee plus optional monthly support.

Still unsure where you stand?

In 20 minutes we will tell you what applies to you, what needs to change and which providers fit.
